Aims and scope
Sial Journal of Medical Sciences is the Official Journal of the Sialkot Medical College. It is an international, interdisciplinary broad-based, online journal for reporting both basic and clinical research in the field of medical science with special emphasis on research conducted in Low- and Middle-Income Countries (LMICs) as categorized by the World Health Organization. The journal publishes original articles concerned with the cure or prevention of diseases and improvement in the health. Ideally this journal will serve as a forum for medical scientists, researchers, and academics.
Sial Journal of Medical Sciences welcomes papers on:
- Medicine, medicine allied surgery, surgical allied community medicine, epidemiological, and oncological
- Case-control study, cohort study, or cross-sectional analytical study
- Randomized controlled trial, meta-analyses, or quasi-experimental study
- Book reviews, recent advances in medical sciences, new techniques, debates, adverse drug reports, current practices, clinical audit report, evidence-based report, or a letter to the editor for publication
- Reviews in the above-mentioned fields especially those highlighting the multi-disciplinary nature of medical sciences
- Clinical observations, short communications, commentary, opinion articles, or student articles on all aspects of health sciences
- Effect of nutrition, medicine, or nutraceuticals on the metabolism and physiology of the human body
- Effect of genetic, biological, behavioral, psychological, socio-economic, environmental, or healthcare services on the public health
- Studies involving pharmacological and toxicological mechanisms of action
